Christmas Tree Recycling. Christmas tree recycling is easy in Sausalito. Just place your tree at the curbside with your green bin on your regular garbage pick-up day. There are no date restrictions as to when you may put your tree at the curbside.

Bay Cities Refuse, Sausalito’s garbage and recycling provider, requests that its customers also follow these guidelines:

  • Remove tree stands and ornaments.
  • Do not recycle flocked trees.
  • Cut in half any trees that are more than seven feet tall.

As another option, a debris box for Christmas tree recycling will be available at the MLK parking lot off Coloma Street from December 28 through January 17.

Any questions about Christmas tree recycling may be directed to Bay Cities Refuse at (415) 332-3646.
