Repair Fair
What is Repair Fair?
Repair Fairs are free events where community members can bring an item (lamp, bike, clothes, small appliances, etc.) for free repair. Rather than leaving and retuning later to pick up their item, attendees sit with a Repair Coach who explains their approach to fixing the item. The Coach and attendee work collaboratively to try to fix the item, so that attendees learn more about fixing and hopefully feel empowered to try to fix other things. Repair Fairs keep useful items out of the landfill and spread knowledge and love of reuse and repair.

General Cleanup

Sausalito General Clean-up Week:
The week of October 19–23
Pick-up is on your regular day
Please place material in front of your home by 6:00 am (Place curbside nearest to the center of your property).
- THERE IS A LIMIT: 1 Cubic Yard per Household (equal to seven 32-gal plastic bags) Place all general waste in plastic
bags, boxes or cans. - NO LOOSE ITEMS!
- Larger items SUCH AS furniture, mattresses’, etc. CAN be collected for an additional fee. YOU MUST CALL OUR OFFICE
ahead of time to schedule this 415-332-3646. - NO Hazardous waste, heavy metal, paint, or similar material will be collected.
- NO green waste, dirt, rocks or material that will damage the packing mechanism of the trucks will be picked up.
- Any items that may damage the packing mechanism of the trucks will not be collected.
- All material is taken to the landfill.
- Please recycle USABLE items at donation sites like Goodwill or Salvation Army.
MARIN CITY GENERAL CLEANUP

Marin City Clean-Up Day

Christmas Tree Recycling
Tree Recylcing is Easy
Christmas tree recycling is easy in Sausalito.
Place your tree at the curbside with your green bin on your regular garbage pick-up day.
There are no date restrictions as to when you may put your tree at the curbside.

Guidelines
Bay Cities Refuse, Sausalito and Marin City’s garbage and recycling provider, requests that its customers also follow these guidelines:
- Remove tree stands and ornaments.
- Do not recycle flocked trees.
- Cut in half any trees that are more than seven feet tall.
- As another option, a debris box for Christmas tree recycling will be available at the MLK parking lot off Coloma Street from December 28 through January 16, 2025.
